The projector optics replacement can be a very costly repair. So lens covers are very important to protect optic lenses when they are not in use. Even if the lens covers do not come with the projector when you buy it, you should take care to buy them separately.

Inclusion of computer fans and a power supply will insure significant airflow to prevent overheating and prevent much of the dust from getting into the projector where it could harm the optics as well.
